Scavenger Hunts Available, Yellowknife Historical Museum

Date

We'd like to extent a big thank you to Ryan Fequet with the Wek'èezhìı Land and Water Board for collaborating with us to provide 10,000 copies of a scavenger hunt for the Yellowknife Historical Museum!

Enjoy searching for interesting facts and trivia about Yellowknife's history, including:

  1. How many pounds of bacon was listed in a miner’s outfit for a year’s work in the North?
  2. This Yellowknives Dene hunter is credited for shooting the “Million Dollar Duck” and bringing Dene harvesting rights to the Supreme Court of Canada.
  3. The longest curling came in Yellowknife’s history, which made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010, was how many hours long?

... and more!

These scavenger hunts are available at the Yellowknife Historical Museum's admissions desk over our open hours (10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday to Sunday) and versions adapted for teens and children are available upon request for families and classrooms!
