The Outdoor Mining Display at Giant Mine serves interpretive learning opportunities along with a great backdrop for professional photography and video! Many photoshoots for weddings and fundraising calenders have been shot on location, and this summer a group of Taiko Drummers chose it to celebrate the birthday of Sensei Daihachi Oguchi, a Japanese drummer who sensationalized taiko ensemble. Each year, the group of Yellowknife friends try to find a location that is unique and shows off the community landscape. Here is a link to the video.
