An Invitation for a Dinner Cruise

The Society extends to its members and other guests to join us for an evening of fun on the Norweta cruise boat. The cruise will include a tour of historic Yellowknife Bay with a barbeque dinner with wine and cash bar. Join friends of the Society to hear stories about Yellowknife’s early days as a mining camp.

NORWETA CRUISE: Evening of Tuesday, August 26th 2008. Tickets are $100 each. For more information contact Walt Humphries, 873-5486 or Steve Clark, 873-6078

Updates

Regular maintenance and repairs of our buildings will continue for the foreseeable future until such a time as we can raise the necessary money to begin major renovations to our museum buildings. A government grant to conduct some foundation repairs to the recreation hall building is being investigated.

Our office will be relocating to the ground floor of the Northern Frontier’s Visitors Center as of September 1st. We now have 14 corporate members, and would like to thank them for their generous support. We would also like to thank members who staffed the society’s table at the Airshow this year.
