At the annual general meeting of the NWT Mining Heritage Society on August 31, new board members were elected to office for the 2011-2012 year.
We welcome new board members David Ritchie and Norah Higden and say goodbye to two long-serving board members, Yvonne Quick who served as secretary-treasurer for five years and was instrumental in the organization of the Beer Barge BBQ, and Mike Byrne, a director since 2002.
The new slate of directors is as follows:

Officers for the position of vice-president and secretary treasurer will be decided at the next board meeting of the Society in September.
